The MDH Bemidji District Office is at 705 5th Street Northwest (Google Maps), Suite A.

The office is one-and-a-half blocks west of the Bemidji post office. MDH occupies the east end of the building; the entrance faces south and has our name above the door in blue lettering.

Parking is available on the south and east sides of the lot.

Driving directions

From the south, on U.S. Highway 71

• Turn left onto combined U.S. Highway 71/U.S. Highway 2, toward Crookston.
• Take the bypass around the city and exit at County Highway 7 (Division Street West/5th Street Northwest).
• Turn right onto 5th Street Northwest.
• Continue east for about 1 mile. MDH is on the left, about four-tenths of a mile after crossing the railroad tracks.
• Or, continue beyond the combined U.S. Highway 71/U.S. Highway 2 on-ramp for about 3.5 miles, as the road becomes State Highway 197 (Washington Avenue East/Paul Bunyan Drive Southeast).
• Turn left onto 5th Street Northwest (County Highway 7). Go west about 6 blocks to just after Park Avenue Northwest. MDH is on the right.

From downtown Bemidji

• Go west on 5th Street Northwest.
• The MDH building is on the right.

From the west, on U.S. Highway 2

• Exit at County Highway 7 and turn left onto Division Street West/5th Street Northwest.
• Continue east for about 1 mile. MDH is on the left, about four-tenths of a mile after crossing the railroad tracks.

From the east, on U.S. Highway 2

• Take the exit for South Park Rapids/Bemidji (combined U.S. Highway 7 and State Highway 197).
• Turn right onto State Highway 197 (Washington Avenue Southeast/Paul Bunyan Drive Southeast and Great River Road).
• Continue for about 3.5 miles and turn left onto 5th Street Northwest (County Highway 7).
• Go west about 6 blocks to just after Park Avenue Northwest. MDH is on the right.
• Or, stay on U.S. Highway 2 and exit at County Highway 7 (Division Street West/5th Street Northwest).
• Turn right onto 5th Street Northwest.
• Continue east for about 1 mile. MDH is on the left, about four-tenths of a mile after crossing the railroad tracks.

From the north, on U.S. Highway 71

• Turn left onto Anne Street Northwest.
• Turn right onto Irvine Avenue Northwest
• Turn left onto State Highway 197 (Great River Road/Bemidji Avenue North) and follow it to the right, down to County Highway 7 (5th Street Northwest).
• Turn right on 5th Street Northwest and go about 6 blocks. MDH is on the right.
• Or, exit U.S. Highway 71 farther south, at the County Highway 7 Bemidji exit.
• Turn left onto County Highway 7 (Division Street West, which turns into 5th Street Northwest).
• Continue east for about 1 mile. MDH is on the left, about four-tenths of a mile after crossing the railroad tracks.

From the north, on County Road 15

• Stay on County Road 15 (Irvine Avenue Northwest) to 5th Street Northwest and turn right.
• Continue on 5th Street Northwest for about 1½ blocks. MDH is on the right side.
• Or, turn left onto State Highway 197 (Great River Road/Bemidji Avenue North) and follow it to the right, down to County Highway 7 (5th Street Northwest).
• Turn right on 5th Street Northwest and go about 6 blocks. MDH is on the right.

From the north, on Bemidji Avenue North

• Go south on Bemidji Avenue North and turn right on 5th Street Northwest.
• Go about 6 blocks. MDH is on the right.
