Lead Grants
Swab Team Services Grant
"Swab team services" are defined as activities such as blood lead testing, education and outreach that provide protection from lead hazards primarily through the use of interim controls. This grant program is authorized under Minnesota Statutes 144.9512. The total amount of grant funding for the entire grant period (Aug. 1, 2023 - June 30, 2025) is up to $958,000, or $479,000 per year and are only given to non-profit organizations.

Lead Hazard Reduction Grants
Grant funding for residents in southeastern Minnesota to fix hazards like lead paint and other safety issues in owner-occupied and rental homes. The goal of the program is to reduce the risk of lead poisoning in children by increasing the amount of lead-safe housing, especially for households with children under the age of six.

Healthy Housing Grant
The Healthy Housing Grants provide funding to perform activities related to housing-based health threats. Eligible applicants are community health boards, tribal public health agencies, local community action agencies, and nonprofit organizations with expertise in providing outreach, education, and training on healthy housing subjects and in providing comprehensive healthy housing assessments and interventions.
