When does the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) need to be notified of a lead hazard reduction project?
MDH is required to be notified of a lead hazard reduction project in the following situations:
- If the lead hazard reduction has been ordered by a public health agency in response to an elevated blood lead in a child or pregnant female that resides at the property; OR
- If the intent of the project is lead hazard reduction.
If you are unsure if your project is notifiable, ask the person who hired you what their intent is, or contact MDH.
