Flowing Well and Boring Special Construction Area
Memo
Benedict Lake and Kabekona Lake Flowing Well and Boring Special Construction Area (FWBSCA) went into effect March 1, 1995, reissuance of the notice on October 15, 2010. Wells and borings installed along the southeast shore of Kabekona Lake and southwest of Benedict Lake, in areas below an elevation of 1320 feet above sea level, are likely to encounter high flows. Please refer to the memorandum for details on construction requirements for installing wells and borings within this area and to the map delineating this area. Construction, repair, and sealing of regulated wells and borings within the FWBSCA may only take place in accordance with the conditions and requirements set forth in the FWBSCA memo, found at: 2010 Memo (PDF).
Boundaries
Portions of Sections 33 and 34, Township 143 North, Range 32 West (Lakeport Township) and of Sections 2, 3, 4, and 11 of Township142 North, Range 32 West (Steamboat River Township).
Area includes two distinct zones – the southeast shore of Kabekona Lake and the southwest shore of Benedict Lake.
