COVID-19 Community Testing Data

MDH collects information at some of the COVID-19 Community Testing events to learn more about why some communities are impacted by COVID-19 at higher rates than others. The data is also used to determine if we need to develop specific approaches to best reach certain populations. Protecting the health and privacy of people is critical for public health and is required by state law. Information given to the health department is shared with public health staff working on the COVID-19 response. Sometimes this includes local public health officials.

• Positivity rate
• Percent positive who did not have symptoms
• Age range & average age of all people tested and positive cases
• Race/ethnicity of all people tested and positive cases
• Gender identity of all people tested and positive cases
