CE Reporting Period
Your CE reporting period is the two-year period beginning with the effective date of your current license and ending on your license expiration date. This information was sent to you with your most recent renewal mailing.
CE Hours Required
Your licensure renewal must provide evidence of a minimum of 30 contact hours of continuing education obtained within your CE reporting period. A minimum of 20 contact hours must be directly related to your area of licensure. Ten contact hours of continuing education may be in areas generally related to your area of licensure.
If you are renewing as both a speech-language pathologist and an audiologist, you must attest to and document completion of a minimum of 36 contact hours of continuing education within your CE reporting period. A minimum of 15 contact hours must be received in the area of speech-language pathology and a minimum of 15 contact hours must be received in the area of audiology. Six contact hours of continuing education may be in areas generally related to your area of licensure.
If your initial license was issued for a period of less than two years, we prorate the number of contact hours required for licensure renewal based on the number of months you are licensed during the biennial licensure period. The number of prorated CE hours required was sent to you with your initial approval letter.
