A full draft of the current proposed rules is not yet available.
- The Department is considering rule amendments that will do the following:
- removing the parent signature requirement for varicella and pneumococcal vaccine;
- removing the age restrictions for the pneumococcal and Hib requirements;
- giving the commissioner of health explicit authority to exclude susceptible individuals who been exposed to a communicable disease from school or child care during the outbreak of a communicable disease that the school and child care immunization law requires.
