MR&C for Child Support
Minnesota Registration and Certification (MR&C) is the statewide vital records system. Many users of MR&C register the births, fetal deaths, and deaths that occur in Minnesota. Or they process adoptions, amendments, and adjudications. Other users print certified copies of birth and death certificates for eligible requesters.
Child support users of MR&C may view summary information on confidential and public birth records for child support enforcement.
Become an MR&C User
Child support workers must be authorized users of MR&C to view information in MR&C. Read, fill out, sign, and return the Child Support Worker User Agreement for MR&C (PDF).
Change in job duties or employment status
When a child support worker has a change in job duties or leaves the agency, the supervisor must notify OVR. On the employee's original user agreement mark the Disable user check box and enter the effective date. Email the form to health.MRCAdmin@state.mn.us. The Office of Vital Records will disable the user's MR&C account.
