Accreditation: National public health accreditation aims to improve and protect the health of the public by advancing the quality and performance of state, tribal, and local health departments. The accreditation process is overseen by the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB).
PHN residency for new graduates: This residency is a joint venture between a PHN resident and a preceptor assigned to facilitate the resident's transition to practice. A flexible, one-year calendar provides monthly activities to be completed by the preceptor, the resident, and agency personnel providing orientation.
