Clostridioides (Clostridium) difficile Reporting
In 2009, as part of the Emerging Infections Program, MDH initiated population-based surveillance for Clostridioides (Clostridium) difficile (C. difficile, C. diff) in Benton, Morrison, Stearns, and Todd Counties. In 2012, surveillance was expanded to include Olmsted County. C. difficile infection is not reportable statewide under the Minnesota Communicable Diseases Reporting Rule.
