- HIV Perinatal Report Form (PDF)
This form is used to report pregnancy in a person chronically infected with HIV/AIDS to MDH. This form must be submitted during pregnancy and at pregnancy outcome. Visit HIV/AIDS Confidential Case Report Forms for additional HIV reporting information.
Revised 2023 - Chronic Infections in Pregnant Patients
Minnesota law, specifically Minnesota Rules Chapter 4605.7044, requires the reporting of pregnancy in a person chronically infected with HIV, including AIDS, to MDH within one working day of knowledge of the pregnancy.

Children's Perinatal & Pediatric HIV Program
This program provides care and prevention services to women, children, youth and their families living with HIV across the state of Minnesota. We collaborate with OB/GYN clinics, infectious disease clinics, and labor and delivery centers to coordinate care for pregnant women, provide education on perinatal HIV transmission reduction strategies, and create delivery plans to ensure that women and babies are well cared for throughout their pregnancies and deliveries.

This webinar, developed by Children's Minnesota, offers foundational knowledge on perinatal HIV prevention and care, information on how to access care for patients, and additional resources health care professionals and families. It is available for all and offers free continuing education credit for completion.
